Entries Open March 1st 2013

The Longleat Horse Trials will see both Two Day and Three Day Event competition fields extending to 240 riders, totalling just under 500 horses and riders.

On March 1st 2013, at 1pm (13:00), 70 entries will be released for each of the four classes available. To confirm, these classes will be as follows:

  • (L3DE-100) Three Day Event - 100cm Class
  • (L3DE-90) Three Day Event - 90cm Class
  • (L2DE-90) Two Day Event - 90cm Class
  • (L2DE-80) Two Day Event - 80cm Class


Which section will I be entered into?

Due to the number of entrants in each class, and the Organisers wanting to offer this opportunity to as many competitors as possible, a range of sections will be offered, with approximately 30 riders in each. Please note, when entering a class, you will be asked "In which sections are you eligible to compete?" Please ensure you select as many sections as you can, as this will ensure we are able to accommodate as many riders as possible.

All sections within one class will be identical, in terms of event phases, heights, tests and distances covered. The sections are simply a way for us to separate the competition fields into riders of similar competitive abilities, where possible.


Waiting List

Once the initial 70 spaces have been filled, we will be operating a waiting list in each class, which will be strictly first-come-first-served.

Should a space open within a section into which you would not be eligible to compete, we will try and adjust other entrants to accommodate your entry, however, this is not guaranteed.


Final Spaces released: July 1st 2013

All remaining entries will be released.

Those who are on a waiting list will be prioritised when allocating spaces. Any remaining entries will be released on this date.

We will continue to operate a waiting list until 24 hours prior to the event opening.


Waiting List Conditions

No payment will be taken when you reserve your space on the waiting list.

As spaces are confirmed, and Guaranteed Entries are exchanged for Full Entries, spaces may become available.

Once a space becomes available, we will inform you by email, and it will be your responsibility to complete the entry process online. Your space must be confirmed within 48 hours of being informed you have been allocated a space, and a cleared payment must be received within 10 days.

Should you not confirm your space, or payment is not received within this time frame, then unfortunately, your name will be removed from the waiting list and the place will be awarded to the next eligible applicant.


Confirming Guaranteed Pre-Entry Spaces

If you were successful in purchasing a Guaranteed Pre-Entry when they went on sale in 2012, then these can be exchanged at any point, up until an extended deadline of June 1st 2013. Please note this deadline has been extended to 3 months after the initial entries open, rather than the previously advertised 1 month.
