Longleat Horse Trials

Question 4/4 in Event Rules for Competitors FAQs

FAQs

Question:

Why have you chosen to run under British Eventing rules?

Answer:
The Longleat Horse Trials have a duty of care to all of our participants, whether that be riders, visitors, volunteers, staff and indeed our equine counterparts. As the National Governing Body for the sport of Eventing in Great Britain, we feel that the rules issued by BE are the most inclusive, and have the safety of all participants as one of their main aims and concerns. There are other recognised bodies within the UK who issue their own rulings, and many of these refer to BE rulings where their own rules do not exist. These third party bodies also tend to issue rules which deal with their own competitions or situations, rather than just the sport of Eventing.
